Sometimes at dusk as I walk along the paths of Chase Vista, Cannock Chase, the sky is like someone has got a paint brush and spread a wash of watercolour paint over the sky. It’s a paint palette of pastel colours. The sunsets are quite special too if you time it just right. There is a bench along the path where you can take a moment and enjoy the view, accompanied by a deer or two!
This scarf is inspired by these colours of dusky sky. To get the light, airy cloudy sky feel I mixed pure hand dyed wool with raw spun silk and also some un-dyed linen. The weave is a balanced plain weave, this shows off the natural materials I have used.
