Over the last few weeks I have been taking part in the free Winter Writing Sanctuary writing course by Beth Kempton – do what you love. It was a really well thought out, well produced course that was both inviting and exciting.
I’m a daily writer of a journal, and also via this blog post, I’ve never really considered undertaking a writing course before, but, over recent months I have been really drawn to writing, even more so than painting. I guess we go through different phases of creative process, so I’m engaging with it and letting it flow and take me whereever it wants to take me.
The two weeks of the course flew by! I really enjoyed the daily sparks writing prompts and then following on from the sparks, there was a daily invitation for reflection which came as a pdf that I printed off. There were a lot of different themes and activities to choose from each day too, and a daily reading that inspired me to do different types of writing. What I really liked about this course is that it gave me so many threads of writing to explore, I had so many ideas sprouting up that I almost couldn’t the ideas from them written down quickly enough.
